Had an interesting (to an author) experience this morning: ankle surgery!

This was a planned surgery – I had a bit of overgrown bone that was rubbing against the next ankle bone and the doctor shaved that off and “cleaned up” the area (whatever that means). I took careful note of all the medical procedures and equipment around me, you can be sure.
The upside of this is I now have 2-3 weeks of downtime. I am allowed to hobble to the bathroom or bed and back, but other than that, I’m in my recliner with a pillow under that foot. I literally have nothing I can do except write! Or that’s what I’m telling myself – no lurking around on Facebook. I’ll be working on querying new agents and getting that outline for Book 2 banged into shape so I can start writing the next novel.
