Tomorrow is the American holiday of Thanksgiving, when we celebrate a successful harvest for the first English colony in North America.
How do you and your friends/family celebrate? Huge meal? Sports on the TV? Gathering the whole bunch for a big celebration? I usually spend the day with family. For Thanksgiving, we have the traditional turkey & all the trimmings. At Christmas, we’ll switch it up and have something different like homemade lasagna or BBQ (although I will probably find myself a nice turkey dinner somewhere during the weekend).
I’m nearly through with NaNoWriMo – 40K words so far and still a whole week to go, so I’ll get there with time to spare. Have you been doing NaNoWriMo this year? How are you doing so far? Remember that even if you don’t “win,” you’ve got more words down than you started with, so that’s a plus in anyone’s book.
