OK so I got a guy out to look at the back deck/porch. He took some photos and left. Didn’t look at the siding but I assumed (ha!) he’d send someone to do that as he’d sent someone to look at the roof. Now, he’s trying to close the claim with a piddling sum that I’m not even certain will pay to replace the porch, much less the rest of it. And he didn’t even mention the spoiled food, which I was assured would be covered as well.
I’ve got a call in to the main insurance office here in Greenville. We’ll see what they can and/or will do for me. I’ve been a loyal customer since I bought the house, after all … though that probably means nothing to them, right?
