People wonder what a writer’s life looks like. Especially when that writer has a complicated and stressful day job the way I do.
Some days, I work only 6-7 hours, and on those days I typically try to get some writing done. Some days, I work 12 hours, and on those days I just have the energy to eat a small dinner and drop into bed.
On my days off, I usually try to get in 6-8 hours of writing if I’m working on something new. If I’m editing and/or revising, which is harder for me, I usually take more breaks and only work 4-6 hours. But I almost always am writing.
If I’m not working on a novel, I’m working on this blog (or my other one), or posting on Facebook (I post every day on JESHaysBooks and try to post every day or two on EJMurrayBooks – it’s harder to find good science or science-fiction related posts to share for some reason).
So now you know – what’s your writing schedule like?
