The Submissions Grinder suggests that I may wish to submit my velyr PI humorous story to Analog or Asimov’s magazine. They pay around 8 cents a word for short stories, which would net me around $400 – not bad for a few hours of work
There are a few markets paying even more, and I’m planning to craft stories for them as well. Most of those want shorter fiction than what I’ve got written, which is even better since it’ll take less time to create. Something to think about while we’re at the beach.
They also list anthologies, so I’ll keep an eye out for anything I can write for. It’s a great little website to keep track of which stories you’ve submitted where. My only problem is that they don’t have all the markets I’ve submitted to listed (Insecure Writer’s Support Group for one).
