It’s First Wednesday, so it’s time for another IWSG Post!
July 6 question – If you could live in any book world, which one would you choose?
I’ve been puzzling over this for a few days & this is a damn hard question! I think my final answer will have to be the Star Trek novels that take off where the show & movies left off. I would love to live in a world where money isn’t important, where everyone does whatever interests them & “makes a living” following their own dreams. Sure, if you’re living on one of the explorer ships, things can get dicey, but living on most planets, life seems just about perfect. So I’d like to live on one of the more civilized planets where I could spend my days creating stories for everyone to enjoy, & taking photos for the same reason.
There are lots of other interesting book worlds, like worlds with magic & The Force & mystical beings, but in most of those, you don’t have computers or WiFi! I’m a modern cyber-being who needs their tech. Which book world would you love to live in?
It is a hard question! I like how you included technology in your choice.
Thank you, Yvonne — I could not live without my modern tech!
I’d like to live there, too!
We could be neighbors!
Yes to living in the Star Trek novels. Live long and prosper!
Make it so!
Star Trek would definitely be a very fun, intriguing and action packed universe to live in! 😀 I chose the universe I wrote for my upcoming book “The Blue Bar” I would like to dwell into that universe to know more about the mysteries that unfold 😀
I’ll have to read your upcoming book and see what your universe is like, then!
Star Trek is a good choice. I picked a different “star” sci-fi for my thrid choice (not wars).
For the IWSG July prompt asking which book world I would live in, I narrowed it down to three choices.
One is a short-story I published. One is from a popular series. And one is better known from television, but there are books. It’s all on my blog.

Ooh, Star Trek. That would be a cool world– as long as there are no Klingons on our tail!
True … or Borg!
