Went out to see this movie last night, not knowing what to expect other than “Thor & Lady Thor.”
First, I like the way the last few Thor movies have included so much humor. I like a good action flick as much as the next cyberbeing, but I like to chuckle in between explosions. This scene, for example, was great. Zeus (yes, that Zeus) casts a spell to remove Thor’s disguise & it ends up removing all his clothing instead. BTW, Chris has certainly kept himself fit over the years.
The goats are hilarious, too. You remember the goats? Tanngrisnir (gap-teeth) & Tanngnjóstr (teeth-grinder) who pull his chariot? They finally make an appearance in this movie, & you’re going to love them!
The movie didn’t end quite the way I thought it would, especially in regards to said Lady Thor, but it was a logical ending & I will never quibble with logic in a story. If you like Norse mythology – or any gods & goddesses for that matter, since there’s a god-city in one scene – you should see this movie. If you like Thor without realizing he’s part of Norse mythology, ditto. And if you just like seeing a buff guy running around in skimpy costumes, by all means see the film.
