I love NK Jemisin’s City stories and this new one is not disappointing! I’m only part-way through, but already I’m back in her world, where ordinary humans find themselves functioning as avatars for their home cities.
The inter dimensional enemy is back … or rather, never fully left … and New York plus his boroughs must find a way to free themselves from her clutches. If you haven’t read this series, go immediately and get The City We Became so you’ll know who everybody is. I recommend this series highly – it’s fresh and original and the characters are great. You should read it.
