I recently asked ChatGPT to fill me in on the latest AI technologies. Here’s what it suggested:
- GPT-3: Released in 2020, the Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3 (GPT-3) is one of the largest and most powerful language models that can generate human-like language with high accuracy.
- Computer Vision: Deep learning techniques have made significant progress in computer vision tasks, such as object detection, recognition, segmentation, and tracking.
- Reinforcement Learning: Reinforcement learning is an area of machine learning that involves training an agent to take actions in an environment to maximize a reward signal. It has shown promising results in a wide range of applications, including robotics and gaming.
- AutoML: AutoML (automated machine learning) is a technology that automates the process of building machine learning models. It allows users without a deep understanding of machine learning to build models easily.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): NLP is an area of AI that deals with the interaction between humans and computers using natural language. It has seen significant advancements, such as language translation, text summarization, and sentiment analysis.
- Neural Architecture Search (NAS): NAS is a technology that automates the process of designing neural networks. It can optimize neural network architectures for specific tasks and improve their performance.
With all these new technologies, will it be long before we have an actual working artificial intelligence that knows it’s intelligent? In other words, a sentient machine? I’m waiting to see what happens…
