It’s First Wednesday, so it’s time for the Insecure Writer’s Support Group post!
January 3 question: Do you follow back your readers on BookBub or do you only follow back other authors?
I’m not a big BookBub afficionado so I don’t follow a lot of people over there. I spend more time on Goodreads and I usually do follow back on that platform, whether you are an author or a reader.
I think there is a limit to following back. You don’t want to follow every Joe or Jill who thinks you’re worth following. Your news feed would blow up and you’d never be able to weed through and find anything important to you. However, I also think you should follow back other authors and network with them. You never know when a connection might turn out to be beneficial to someone, so you should follow your fellow writers, and follow as many readers as you think reasonable, especially if they have been connecting with you via comments and shares.
