Well, I got yet another rejection from an agent. The one I met at the SCWA Conference last Fall, who had requested a full manuscript, has decided she has enough authors after all and she needs to concentrate on the ones she has instead of taking on any new ones. I’m really not certain if this is the absolute truth or if she just didn’t want to hurt my feelings after asking for a manuscript. However it was, I’m back in the query game. At least I am more confident in my ability to write the things now. I even watched one of those “free” webinars about it last night. You know the ones: the whole goal is to sell you on some fantastic sure-to-win program that costs an arm and a leg but is far cheaper than their usual rates? Of course, I didn’t buy anything, but I did get a couple of ideas from the program so I suppose it was worth the hour of my time…now I will just have to unsubscribe from the mass email that they are sure to start sending me!
