I’ve found a new fantasy/mystery series, this one by Bailey Cates. It’s about a woman who moves to Savannah (Georgia) to start over. She buys into her aunt’s new bakery and learns that everyone in her family is a witch. In the first book, Brownies & Broomsticks, a grouchy customer is found murdered in front of the bakery and Uncle Ben is the number one suspect. Katie and Aunt Lucy must solve the crime themselves before he is found guilty of something he obviously didn’t do!
So far, I’m enjoying this series. It’s fluffy and cozy, but I like the occasional fluff in my mysteries, especially if it includes a sci-fi or fantasy element. And there is so much food in the book … makes me hungry just reading about it!
