I’ll be headed for Columbia, SC this Friday for the South Carolina Writers Association Storyfest Conference. Friday will be “Masterclass” Day, with extra material from some of the guest speakers (costs extra, as well). I’ll also have a manuscript critique with an agent, which is always fun.
Saturday will be filled with classes and networking. We’ll have dinner on our own, which means the Upstate Chapter will head for Nick’s and spend our meal chatting with one another in real time rather than by Zoom. And Sunday we’ll have our board meetings and a couple of “wrap up” classes before we hit the road home again.
I always love our conferences. We end up with some interesting guest speakers and the classes almost always offer something I can use in my writing career. I’m looking forward to this one, even if it’s not at the beach!
